Specifications

Contemporary and innovative works created with fiber as the primary medium are welcome. This exhibition is open to all artists 18 years and over working in the field of fiber art. All work submitted must be original, completed in the last three years and not previously exhibited in a Fantastic Fibers exhibition. There are no size restrictions.

Entering

Entries are now submitted solely online through this website!
 If one or more of your entries should be accepted into the show you will receive subsequent instructions on final presentation.

Entries are submitted electronically through this website. To get started, create a free account. Once your account is created and you log in, click the "submit a photo" link on the left navigation. Credit card payment only. Deadline for online entries is midnight on February 11.

No more than five entries may be submitted by any artist. A nonrefundable entry fee of $10 per entry for up to five entries is required.

Entries submitted via email or through standard mail to the Yeiser will not be accepted.

Notification and Accepted Entries

All entries selected for exhibition will be posted to the web site by February 24th.

Accepted entries must be shipped prepaid to the Yeiser Art center and include a prepaid return shipping label. Additional instructions will be sent to accepted entrants.

All accepted artists will receive a CD catalog with all accepted entries.

Sales

Sales will be encouraged where works are offered for purchase, but work need not be for sale to enter. Yeiser Art Center will keep the standard gallery 40% commission on all sales, so price your work accordingly.

Notice

The Center will not be responsible for loss or damage to work while in transit. The Center has fine art insurance, security, and conservation lighting. Accepted work must remain on display until the close of the exhibition.

Disclaimer

Fantastic Fibers 2012 is a juried competition. All entry fees are nonrefundable. There is no assurance implied that any given entry or group of entries will be juried into the show and included for display in the final exhibition.

Eligibility

Open to all fiber artists. Employees, staff, board and committee members of the Yeiser Art Center, and employees of Paducah Printing and Horizon Media Group are ineligible.

Copyright

Participating fiber artists retain ownership of all photographic copyrights. By entering the contest, the Yeiser Art Center retains the right, without compensation, to reproduce said images for the sole purpose of press releases, web site inclusion, marketing and the promotion of present and future Fantastic Fibers competitions.
